Description: Make It Main Street! Every 1st Thursday of the month; join us this month to discover, honor, and celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander heritage. The events include artist’s demonstration in our local Makers Marketplace, as Musicians, Poets, Writers, and storytellers perform among the eclectic array of Shops, Bookstores, Nurseries, Restaurants, Wine Bars, Cafes and Galleries that grace 5 blocks of Half Moon Bay’s historic Main Street.

Stories in Song

Hosts: Peninsula Musical Arts and Foster City Library
Description: This concert features the Peninsula Community Chorus and Heart and Soul and highlights the power of music in storytelling and how that combination can connect and inspire us in powerful ways. We’ll perform a wide range of repertoire ranging from opera arias to Broadway songs, jazz, blues, folk, art songs and several popular songs as well.

Embroidered Photos

Description: This workshop, open to all ages (under 18 must be accompanied by an adult), is for anyone eager to learn how basic embroidery stitches can be used in a unique way … by applying stitches to their own photos to create a “one of a kind” artwork!   In this workshop, attendees will learn basic photo transfer tricks using their own photos (provided in advance) or those provided by the teacher as well as basic embroidery stitches and floss options. Students can choose to stitch on photos or fabric or articles of their own.

Luminous Lantern Designs
