The County of San Mateo seeks to ensure that every resident has meaningful access to County services, programs, benefits, and information. To further this goal, the County strives to meet the language needs of residents to help them access County information, regardless of their proficiency in English. According to the 2020 U.S. Census, 43.5% of San Mateo County residents speak a language other than English at home.
