Immigrant Mental Health

During moments of stress and uncertainty, there are resources available to assist and support your mental and emotional well-being. No matter what you are facing, you do not have to face it alone. In addition to the resources below, we encourage you to review a comprehensive list of local health and behavioral health resources available in the SMC Immigrant Resource Guide.

For Mental Health Emergencies:
988 Crisis Line – this 24/7 hot line is equipped to serve English and Spanish speakers by call or text, and over 200 additional languages via interpretation (phone calls only).

For Children and Families in California:
CalHOPE provides free, free, safe, and confidential mental health support for young people and families across the state. Insurance is not required and immigration status does not matter.

Mental Health Matters

For Undocumented Immigrants:
Immigrants Rising has developed multiple resources geared specifically toward immigrant mental health, including a resource guide and toolkit designed for undocumented immigrants.

For Survivors of Domestic Violence:
Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse
serves individuals and families who have experienced domestic violence. Their 24-hour hotline can be reached at (800) 300-1080.

For Peer Support:
If you prefer to speak with a peer who has lived experience navigating mental health challenges, you can call or text the CalHOPEwarmline at (833) 317-HOPE (4673) or in Spanish at (833) 642-7696, 24 hours a day.
