  • Redwood City – Residents eager to find a career that not only fulfills their job aspirations but also lets them give back are invited to explore available opportunities on Friday, August 2 at the 2024 Summer Public Service Career Fair hosted by the County of San Mateo.

Whether you are looking for professional growth, a fulfilling role, or a chance to contribute to the greater good, this career fair is the perfect opportunity to explore the possibilities. There are many public sector jobs to choose from – healthcare, law enforcement, social services, administration, civil engineering among others,” said County Human Resources Director Rocio Kiryczun. “Every job has a purpose and has a meaning, and every day you get an opportunity to make a difference is someone’s life – what could be more rewarding than that?”

The fair will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2 outside at 500 County Center in Redwood City. The free event will include a diverse array of public sector employers, including County departments. In addition to employer booths, the fair will include food trucks and an ice cream vendor.  Parking is free in the County parking structure but limited so attendees are encouraged to use Caltrain or other public transit. County Center is located a few blocks from the Redwood City Caltrain station.

The event is the County’s second public service career fair; the first last October focused on veterans, military personnel and their families. For more information please visit the Eventbrite page.
