On May 10, 1974, an adult male torso was found in the surf at Linda Mar State Beach in Pacifica by a jogger. The remains included both legs and the torso from the waist down. The male was clad in “Levi Strauss” blue jeans and white brief-type underwear. The decedent was estimated to be in the water for over one month. Radiographs showed no signs of prior fractures in the lower extremities or pelvis.
