Aileen Cassinetto is the 2019-2022 Poet Laureate of San Mateo County, as well as an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellow, a YBCA 100 Changemakers honoree, and the founder of the independent literary press, Paloma Press. She is the author of two poetry collections and three chapbooks, and her work has been featured in programs hosted by Carnegie Hall, Americans for the Arts, Filoli, the U.S. Consulate General in Shanghai, the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C., the Japanese American National Museum, the San Francisco Public Library, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines, among others. She is co-editor of the climate change anthology, Dear Human at the Edge of Time: Poems on Climate Change in the United States, a companion to the congressionally mandated Fifth National Climate Assessment.
