Shireen Malekafzali (she/her) is an experienced and passionate leader dedicated to advancing equity for over 20 years. She is the inaugural chief equity officer for the County of San Mateo, working to build more equitable structures and systems to advance equitable outcomes for our communities.
Shireen is honored to have the opportunity to support County leaders to maximize their creativity, skills, and passions to their work. As a recipient of coaching, she experienced the grounding it provided in when she was new to her position. She appreciates the opportunity to coach diverse leaders and leaders interested in advancing equity. She loves getting to know people, spending outdoor time with her two kiddos, and contributing to a just democracy.
