The County of San Mateo's Human Services Agency (HSA), in close collaboration with community partners, conducts the biennial One Day Homeless Count and Survey. The purpose of the One Day Homeless Count and Survey is to gather information to help the community better understand homelessness in the County and provide information for effective program planning to assist people experiencing homelessness.

HSA conducted the Count on Thursday, January 25, 2024 and administered the Survey between January 25 and February 1, 2024.

HSA appreciates the participation of all the community partners and volunteers who made the Count possible.

The Executive Summary of the 2024 One Day Homeless Count is posted below. The Final Report will be released soon and shared on this website once available.
