Date of Formation: January 5, 1953 (consolidation) as San Mateo County Mosquito Abatement District; boundaries expanded to include balance of the County in 2003 and renamed San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District to reflect assumption of vector control services formerly provided by the County.

Board of Trustees
San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District is governed by a 21-member board of trustees, one from each city and one representative for the county at large, elected to two or four-year terms. See Board of Trustees on the district website for a list of the current trustees. The board of trustees meets regularly the second Wednesday of every month, except for August and December. All meetings are held at the District Office, 1351 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.
Meeting time is 6:00 pm unless otherwise noted in the agenda. Future agendas are posted the Wednesday prior to the meeting date.
