The Parks and Recreation Commission approved dog management policy recommendations presented at the December 7 meeting by the Dog Management Committee.

From October 3 through November 16, San Mateo County Parks received input on a Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to restore and improve Flood Park via a form on the Parks website. The review period is now complete. All written comments regarding the adequacy of the Draft EIR were required to be submitted during this time period.

Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) has announced the purchase of the 58-acre Tunitas Creek Beach with the goal of preserving, rehabilitating and preparing the property for safe public use that respects the local environment.

The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors has directed the formation of a committee to explore the best ways to design and interpret the path that Gaspar de Portolà took during his expedition of the San Mateo County coast and the San Francisco Bay.

This Request for Proposals is for the evaluation of services for programs that promote resiliency, pro-social behavior, and emotional wellbeing and youth and family programs that increase developmental assets and decrease youth involvement in the juvenile justice system. These services are funded by the YOBG, JJCPA, and JPCF.
