New San Mateo County Health Order Aligns with State

With the completion of the variance process with the State of California, San Mateo County Health Officer Dr. Scott Morrow has issued a new order to align the county with Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Resilience Roadmap. Businesses in San Mateo County will now follow the state’s schedule for reopening but must adhere to the local order’s COVID-19 safety measures and follow state guidance.

Be Alert for COVID-19 Contact Tracing Scams

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. -- San Mateo County District Attorney Stephen M. Wagstaffe today advised San Mateo County residents to be alert for COVID-19 contact tracing scams.  Contact tracing is an important tool to slow the spread of COVID-19, especially as San Mateo County further eases its shelter in place restrictions, because it helps our San Mateo County Public Health division identify people who may have been in contact with a COVID-19 infected individual.
