2021 Peninsula Council of Lions Club Police Service Awards On Monday June 14, 2021, the Peninsula Council of Lions Clubs held their annual Police and Firefighters Awards ceremony.  The 55th annual (2020) award ceremony was cancelled last year due to COVID 19.  The Peninsula Council of Lions Clubs decided to proceed with a virtual ceremony this year, honoring award recipients for both 2020 and 2021.

Beginning this summer, San Mateo RCD and SMC Parks will collaborate to reduce wildfire risk and improve forest health and community safety in Huddart and Wunderlich parks with funding awarded by CAL FIRE.

The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors is seeking applicants interested in serving on the 2021 Supervisorial District Lines Advisory Commission. Once formed, the 11-member Commission will hold a series of public meetings to study the boundaries of the County’s five supervisorial districts.
