Redwood City – Residents of San Mateo County’s coast impacted by the recent storms can learn about available assistance from local, state and federal agencies at three separate locations starting next week. On hand at each location will be what is known as “Mobile Registration Intake Centers” whose staff can answer questions about disaster assistance and help with registration.
North Fair Oaks — Three artists will each present their unique ideas for murals in the North Fair Oaks neighborhood at a public meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023. You can view presentations by the artists in person at the North Fair Oaks Library or via Zoom from 6 to 8 p.m.
Redwood City, CA – The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously today to invest nearly $1.5 million to help entrepreneurs launch businesses and make them grow. The funds will also help job seekers gain the skills they need to compete for in-demand careers. Programs that include how to gain access to capital will launch through the North Fair Oaks Economic Advancement Center.

Redwood City — As we collectively mourn the loss of life in Half Moon Bay, the County of San Mateo is providing mental health counselors and other support to the community. The Crisis Response Team (CRT) from Behavioral Health and Recovery Services has been meeting with families in the reunification center and other locations in Half Moon Bay.
Just days removed from the tragedy in Monterey Park, San Mateo County District Attorney Stephen M. Wagstaffe and all the members of the District Attorney’s Office regrettably now mourn the 7 lives lost to a mass shooting right here in Half Moon Bay.
