Watch for safety flaggers on Pillar Point Bluff trails directing sporadic trail closures as supplies are transported by helicopter from Half Moon Bay Airport to US Fish and Wildlife structures on the Farallon Islands. Flight activity and safety flaggers will be present the following days:

• Sep. 30
• Oct. 1, 10 and 11

These safety precautions are required by the Federal Aviation Administration while helicopters carry heavy, sling-loaded payloads over the trails.  The brief stoppage of all trail use is expected to last approximately 5 minutes when helicopters are in flight.
