The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for areas in San Mateo County beginning the evening of Thursday, October 17 and lasting through Saturday, October 19. A Red Flag Warning means warm temperatures, very low humidities, and stronger winds are expected to combine to produce an increased risk of fire danger.
During this period, as a safety precaution, only charcoal is permitted for use in barbecues at San Pedro Valley Park. No wood fires are allowed.
